Library Book Sale

The Library has books for sale daily. Anyone wishing to donate books to the library are welcome to. On donated books you agree that the library may either place your books on the shelf or put them up for sale. Thank you for your donations in advance.

Hello everyone, Thankfully our county's  COVID cases are decreasing.  We still are under a few lesser services, but they hopefully will return to normal soon.  The following still applies:  If anyone would like inter library loans to be requested please contact myself at the Library (785)-729-3355 or come in and see me. Only 5 people in the library at one time, due to a small space We are wiping down the computers and tables with disinfecting wipes to clean and sanitize Bathrooms are not open to the public at this time Please feel free to come in and check out items, or if you would like, call me and I will gather books for you and have them sacked up and ready to go Thank you for all  your patients with this virus, hopefully soon we will be back to a full swing of thinsgs. The Hillcrest Public Library is concerned for the safety and security of the users who access online information. The Library has no control over the content of the Internet and cannot be held responsible for what the user sees when connected to the Internet. The restriction of a minors access to the the Internet beyond that required by this policy is the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian. The safety and security of users accessing the Internet require those persons to be cautious, thoughtful, protective of personal information and respectful of library policy, state and federal laws.

Inter Library Loans

  Inter Library Loans......are back in business If our library does not own the book or etc that you are wanting, we may be able to borrow it from another library in the state. If an item borrowed from another library arrives for you, the library will contact you for pick up. When you are through with the item you may return it to our library and we will return it to the lending library. Check out is usually 3 weeks. We now have library cards that may be used at other libraries You can now search and order your own books on ILL
